June 24
Well, it’s the last day of school, which is always a transition. Some years are harder than others, this one was pretty great and I am sad to see some of my students go. I am also sad about the end of my teaching partnership. Moving out of my room of ten years is a transition I was kind of hoping not to make, but our school is being renovated, so room 234 must go. I posted some pictures earlier in the year of my room in its glory, but here it is all packed up and ready to be moved to my classroom for next year, trailer 117. (more on that later).

sigh. so sad. 234 has been my second home for 10 years, and over a thousand students have passed through this door. new beginnings in a new trailer next school year.

We were back at the Racek’s on Tuesday for the end of year department party. Lots of food, lots of kids, just fun hanging out.

Aaron’s last day with Ms. Maliha is quickly approaching. Here he is on his first day with her…5 months old.
What a wonderful three years of loving care. We are sad to say goodbye to her, but excited for Aaron to start preschool.

Iiiiiiittttt’s Father’s Day!!! Sarah and the girls came over for some deeeelicious steaks Chris grilled for Father’s Day dinner. It was a great end to a great day. Chris made waffles (Yes, that’s right…Chris made both meals on Father’s Day, because his favorite things to eat are things I can’t make, it happens every time) for breakfast and then we went to see Toy Story 3, made a trip to Costco, and came home for some naps. Here are some great shots of the fam.
