January 6
How 'bout a little Rock Band? Chris got this for his birthday and Ashley is an expert. Here is the family (while I should be working on my paper) making some noise. (After Aaron went to bed, I joined in and we played until 1 in the morning...RIDICULOUS, what am I a kid? No...but I am a teacher, and the next morning we had a 2 hour delayed opening for a half inch of snow!)

And its BACK TO SCHOOL after an amazing winter break, extended to two whole weeks by the glorious Blizzard of 2009. You can check out my cute page on that if you scroll down a ways. In this picture Aaron is "playing" Disney Scene It that he got for Christmas from Mabel and Nathan. I didn't let him play the full out board game, but I put in the DVD and just let him see the questions and kept asking him which movie each was from. It was fun...until dinnertime when he had a RAGING tantrum because I turned it off. Darn you Mabel and Nathan. Ashley came back from her Christmas visit to Alabama, bringing Christmas cheer and a cute new haircut. She opened her gifts from us and made funny faces with Aaron.

Two pictures for today...Aaron having SO much fun playing at home. In one he is ALL decked out in his new Handy Manny Gear. He loves his tools and tool belt! That is an "I can fix it" thumbs up! In the other, Aaron is wearing his new chef hat and apron that Santa brought him at NanaGrampy's house. He now insists on wearing it every time he cooks in his kitchen. He looks TOO cute!

Working on some reading and discussion board posts for my Ancient Warfare class...MAJOR research paper coming up due next week, but for now, just a little reading on the Battle of Cannae. Double envelopment...Hannibal was a genius.

The morning after a day of travel...Chris and Aaron are having some breakfast. I love that Chris makes us "shramble eggs" (Aaron pronunciation there) even though he doesn't like eggs AT ALL. This picture is a GREAT example of Aaron's unwillingness to have his picture taken from time to time...

On 1/1 we flew back home from our Christmas trip to California (more on that later when I scrap it...). Aaron did not sleep THE WHOLE flight, but was a really good boy watching his movies. Sarah came to get us at the airport and was on the curb holding Aaron's coat to receive us, which was so cute, and so needed! It was like 8 degrees with wind chill or something crazy like that. After a little stop off at Wendy's on the way home, we finally made it and started to settle back in. I took this picture of our Christmas remnants with the more wide-angle of our two lenses for our new camera! I had been using the zoom lens while we were still in CA and wanted to see what this one can do. I'm impressed! Thanks mom & dad for such a FANTASTIC gift!
Project 365
I am REALLY excited to be starting this...and we shall see how it goes. I am hoping that by making it a little more public I will have even more motivation to STICK WITH IT than say, the... 10 journals I have started throughout my life...so I have some catching up to do with the posts and my scrapboook pages, but I have been taking a picture every day since Christmas Day! I learned about this whole P365 thing on scrapmatters and I love the idea of keeping a chronicle of the everyday things that make my life what it is. So...here we go!
