July 1

Tonight we had a DEEEEElicious dinner at the Lobster Pot and then walked around Lake George Village in search of t-shirts and ice cream. We did find ice-cream, and some injuries.

Here is Grampy with his buddy and pal.

IMG_8071 Here is Aaron with a moose. Shortly after this, Aaron had his first fall. He tripped over some uneven sidewalk (a theme for the evening) and did what is becoming his famous “prefall scream". Like as soon as he loses his balance and THINKS he is going to fall, there is this high-pitched scream he does. He got his palm and elbow scraped up. (this time).

IMG_8080 Here is Aaron, on the mend, helping his Auntie push Cameron’s stroller. Shortly after this, we got our ice cream. Shortly after that, Aaron and I ate it. There are differing accounts (my husband says I threw my kid in the street) but MY version of what happened is: Aaron was in trouble for running away from us, so he had to hold my hand. That sealed his doom. I took a step down from a curb into the street right into a divot in the road, my right ankle gave up on life, and I went down. Therefore, so did Aaron, scream and all, and so did my camera. Someone picked up Aaron, he was pretty scraped up, my sister rescued my camera (which seems to be okay) and eventually Chris got me up, but my ankle was really hurting. A funny memory after the fact was the lady that came up, held my arm, and repeatedly asked me if I was okay and needed help even though I was clearly surrounded by people I was with who were helping Aaron and I. Soooooooo strange and awkward.

Anyway…after all that, we figured…freakin’ forget it. Let’s go back to the car.
