New Release Friday!

Sarah Bennett has TWO wonderful collab kits out today!

First up, here is a beautiful kit she made with Trixie Scraps Designs called Sunday Afternoon. Again, I am loving the blues, greens and browns! It has good elements for boy and girl use, and really pretty metal word art, which I am into lately. I made this page with some pictures of Aaron that I just love from a day in January that he had to stay home sick.

Sarah’s other new release today is a fun springtastic kit she made with WM[squared] Designs called Go Green. It has all kind of fun earth-loving elements, and there are SO many great colorful papers, making this kit useful for so many photos! I made a page with my favorite photos from Valentine’s Day this year.

All Wrapped Up

TWO FRIDAYS AGO (!!!) I neglected to put up Sarah’s new products, even though I did make pages to show them off! She released All Wrapped Up, some glittery stamps made with bubble wrap, which I used to make this page of Aaron’s first walk in his stroller.

(I used Storytime from Sarah, Lil’ Digi Bits by Jude and Stacy’s Backdoor Designs to make this page too. It is the first kit of Sarah’s that I ever saw at ScrapMatters and I immediately had it on my wishlist!)

She also released a set of Commercial Use Bubble Wrap Brushes that can be used colored as you see them in the preview, or, installed as brushes to be completely customized. I did a post on Sarah’s CT blog explaining how to use them. I used them to make this page of some of the earliest pictures of Aaron on his playmat. BOY he loved that thing! I am slowly but surely getting his baby book done….

( I used the ever-popular Sister Sue kit to make this layout. Sarah’s kits are ALL so versatile!)

New Release Friday!

Sarah Bennett has a new Krafty Paper Pack out today! I LOVE this kind of paper...I really like using it with brightly colored photos.

Here is the layout I made using one of the papers for the In Living Color Challenge at ScrapMatters. I also used Sarah's Kit called Tough Boy, shown below.

Some (old) New Releases from 3/19

LAST Friday, there were some great products that I scrapped with and never got up on my blog, so here goes.
First, Andilynn released a set of Quickpages made by the Creative Team with Fair Are the Meadows. Don’t they look great? I made two of them, shown below, and I am so proud to be part of something that is in the shop!

Also, Sarah Bennett released a beautiful kit (I think this is one of my favorite things from her store) called Memories of You. It is the primary kit I used to decorate this blog.  I love the browns and blues and greens together, which I think is the same thing I said about Andilynn’s Fair Are The Meadows last week! I made two pages to show off this kit. One is of some pictures I took of Aaron at the dinner table while learning about using my camera on manual, and the other is Week 2 of my P365 pages.

New Releases from 3/12

Some good stuff new at ScrapMatters this week! First up, here is my layout with Andilynn’s new kit Fair Are The Meadows. Pretty colors, right? I love brown and green and blue together. You can also grab a freebie for a little while on her blog.

Andilynn also released some new journaling blocks that you can use lots of different ways called Facts Matter. I made a page with some brand new photos of a GREAT little self-portrait Aaron made on his chalkboard.

And finally, Sarah Bennett released a kit called Remember Me with deep browns and blues. The colors in it reminded me of a set of pictures we took with Aaron the day he turned 1 week old, and I am also constantly trying to work on that book too.

That is it is for last Friday’s new releases. Hopefully I will have some more of my 365 pages up soon!

Some new pages

It has been a while since I posted any new pages on here because my number one project I am working on right now is a wedding album for a friend of mine and I want her to be able to share those pages as she chooses. For that reason, I typically will not post pages from that book on here, unless they include new products from the designers that I am working for, because I want to be able to show those off!
Here are some layouts I made with some new releases from this week:
I made this page for the 3/5 speed scrap, which had some GREAT instructions! I used a kit from Designs by Sarah Bennett that was re-released at ScrapMatters called Sister Sue. It has such bright bold colors, so I had to work carefully to make the page work with the wedding photos, but I think it turned out great! I also used a template and some CUTE new date stamps from Andilynn Designs. (images are linked)

I also made these two pages with the brand new kit from Designs by Sarah Bennett called Spunky Monkey! I was pretty impressed to see how many different kinds of pages the creative team made from this kit. (images are linked)

Scrappy News

I am so excited that I have recently been given positions on Creative Teams for TWO fantastic designers, Andilynn Designs and Designs by Sarah Bennett at ScrapMatters. I was really interested in getting onto a couple of teams and not only taking my scrapping to the next level, but also participating more in the ScrapMatters community. You may notice down along the right I have new "blinkies", the animated linked tabs that help to advertise the two designers I am working for and the ScrapMatters store. I will be sharing their new products on my blog and the layouts I make with them. I am really honored to have been chosen for these two spots and I want to do a really good job for them both!
