Aaron was so so sleepy after school today and fell asleep on the couch after we got home. He had a doctor appointment today for another set of follow up x-rays and because Walter Reed hospital is in DC, when he has an appointment we bring him to school with us for the rest of the day because its just not practical to take him all the way back down to his own school. Although he loves hanging out at Edison High School for the day, he doesn’t get a nap, so he was pretty won out. Sweet little guy.
This appointment was a rough one…basically we found out today that his curve has progressed a lot and he will need surgery this summer for sure. Not the news we wanted, but not unexpected. It was hard to go back to school for the rest of the day and concentrate on being a good teacher, though, that is for sure.
