April 11

Back to the farmer’s market today…last week was opening day but it was also Easter, so there were not a lot of vendors there. We have never attended in spring, so we were not sure what to expect. It was pretty empty last week and this week, especially compared to the late summer and fall when there are tons of stalls and tons of customers. There is just not a whole of stuff ready to come out of the ground yet!

But, it was still a beautiful day and it is nice to get over there and walk around a little. Aaron and Courts love all the samples. Here is the little cool man ready to hit the pavement.

There were mostly plant sales, but also some breads, baked goods and cheeses. I will post a picture of the farmer’s market later in the summer and you will see the difference. Last week, to our dismay, the kettle corn guy wasn’t even there! Thankfully he was there today and we got our first kettle corn of the season.

We also got a DEEEEElicious little blackberry cobbler and a giant bunch of green onions for tonight’s Chinese Chicken Salad dinner. I also did some shopping for myself at Kohl’s today, FUN FUN FUN!
