By 4:30 yesterday, we were informed the school was ALREADY canceled for Friday! I don't remember our school system canceling so early before in anticipation of a bad storm, the snow was not even scheduled to START falling until noon Friday! It started falling pretty slowly, but by evening the "snowmageddon" had begun. Chris’ brother George was supposed to come down for a one night visit after being in Maryland for business, but he quickly learned that all flights were being canceled and was not able to get on one home to Colorado until Monday at 10pm!! He made it from Maryland to our house in record time (the house and I were not quite ready) before the snow had gotten heavy. He came bearing gifts, beautiful birthday/congratulations on getting your first job flowers for Ashley, some Valentines candy, and a highlight, the hatch and grow dinosaur for Aaron. Aaron monitored that thing all night, and there will be a picture of the new arrival when he makes his appearance. Tomorrow, Saturday, is Ashley’s 23rd birthday. We had planned to go out for a family style birthday dinner at Five Guys with Sarah and her family also, but the snow just became too much. Five Guys closed 4 hours early! We had Digiorno and the sundae bar Ash had requested. Chris shoveled about three inches of snow off the driveway tonight, and there is supposed to be much more to come!
